The Null Vision

Null aims to make a wallet as useful for private communication as it is for ownership and authorization.

The long-term vision is:

Every wallet can have an inbox without exposing the person behind it.

Null is built around six principles.

Wallet-controlled identity

The user proves control through wallet signatures. The network does not issue the root identity.

Privacy by default

Message content is encrypted before it leaves the sender's device. The application should minimize unnecessary collection of communication metadata.

Permission before access

Unknown senders do not automatically enter the primary inbox. Recipients decide who can contact them.

Payments in context

Payment requests, invoices, and settlement receipts belong inside the conversation where the agreement occurred.

Portable communication primitives

Developers should be able to add Null identities and private messaging to wallets, games, marketplaces, social apps, and business tools.

Honest security

Null must never claim that encryption prevents screenshots, compromised devices, malicious recipients, or all forms of metadata analysis.
